Terms & Conditions

This booking service is facilitated by Greenz Travel  (“Greenz Travel”, “we”, “our”, “us”) on behalf of third party suppliers (“activity suppliers”, “transporter”, “accommodation suppliers”, “caterers” and “providers”).

References to ‘you’ and ‘your’ include the first named (lead passenger) on the booking and all persons on whose behalf a booking is made.

Greenz Travel acts under New Zealand jurisdiction as a tour arranging and booking agent on behalf of third-party suppliers.

These Booking Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, and any additional written information brought to your attention prior to confirming your booking, form the basis of the agreement of all the persons included in your booking with Greenz Travel trading as Greenz Travel Ltd.

Please read them carefully. Should you require any clarification please contact us prior to booking.

When you make a booking with us the following terms and conditions will apply:

PRICES IN QUOTATION AND BOOKING
All our prices are given in New Zealand dollars and include local GST (15%).

Our quotes are based on the information you provide to us. It is your responsibility to make sure you advise the correct dates of arrival and departure in the country.

At the time of booking and to confirm your services we will need to receive a copy of the flights and passport for all travellers.

Prices in quotations, bookings and on the website include the services as clearly indicated in the itinerary and excludes optional activities, meals (unless specified), beverages, laundry facilities, communication costs and personal items, internationals airfares, domestic airfares, cost of visa and personal insurances.

Prices indicated on our website are an indication only and are used as a ‘’from’’ only.

At the time of quoting, no rooms are held and therefore prices can’t be guaranteed and are subject to change at the time of booking.
Greenz Travel cannot be held responsible if the service quoted is not available at the time of booking. If a service is not available at the time of booking, we will do our best to find a substitute of similar value and standard and we will consult with you for approval.
If the substitute service is of higher value, the extra cost will be passed on to the paying customer.
If no substitute can be found, Greenz Travel may suggest an itinerary revision.

PAYMENT

To secure your itinerary once you have agreed on the contents, we require a 20% deposit.

The payment of the balance is due 60 days prior to the date of arrival in New Zealand.
The final payment date will be confirmed at the time of acceptation of the quotation.

Failure to make payment on, or before, the due date will result in an automatic cancellation of your booking.

From time to time, some suppliers may impose stricter payment terms to the above. If this is the case, you will be notified of such terms at the time of booking.

If travelling over the festive season (20-December/5-January) payment terms may vary from the above, non-refundable deposit may apply and balance may be required up to 90 days prior to travel, based on suppliers’ specific term and conditions.
We will notify you at the time of quoting of such terms.

PAYMENT

Payments can be made by direct deposit into our designated New Zealand bank account or by International credit card (Visa and Mastercard).
Payments are to be made in New Zealand dollars, unless agreed otherwise.

Please note that payment by credit cards incur a 3% fee which will added to the total of your booking.
If paying by bank transfer, bank fees are the responsibility of the sender.

AMENDMENTS AND CANCELLATION

All amendments and cancellation must be advised in writing as soon as possible.
We will make every effort to accommodate the requested amendments but we reserve the write to recover any additional costs and charges arising through the changes.

Any amendments leading to additional costs due to flight delays or cancellations is not Greenz Travel responsibility and will be passed on to the paying customer.

For both amendments and cancellations, the written notice can and will only be acknowledged on New Zealand working business hours of Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm – excluding public holidays.

The following cancellations terms apply:

– Received 60 days prior to travel: no fee – full refund of the 20% deposit less the credit card fees.
– Received 60 to 31 days prior to travel: loss of the 20% deposit plus any cost passed on by accommodation (these may vary from 50 to 100% of the total accommodation cost).
– Received within 30 days of travel: no refund

Some suppliers Terms and conditions fall outside of the above terms and conditions and cancellation fee may be imposed on us from the time of booking. If this is such a case, you will be informed of the revised cancellation fee schedule at the time of acceptance of the quote.

PASSPORT & VISA INFORMATION

You will need a valid passport to travel to New Zealand.
It is your responsibility to check your passport is valid and to obtain any necessary visas or entry permits. No claim for refund can be made for failure to obtain the relevant travel documents.
From October 2019, travellers from the 60 countries that currently have visa waivers, will need to hold an ETA before travelling to New Zealand. Transiting passengers will also be required to have an ETA.

EARLY TERMINATION AND UNUSED SERVICES

No refund can be claimed for unused services.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

As cover for cancellation, curtailment and bodily injury are not included in the cost of the booking, Greenz Travel strongly advises you to take out a travel insurance.

ACCOMMODATION/CAR RENTAL

Bonds or credit card imprints may be required by accommodation and car rental providers. These are to cover incidentals and cleaning fees. All such costs will be your responsibility.

COMPLAINTS

If you have a complaint during your holiday, you must notify Greenz Travel immediately and we will do our best to resolve the problem. When it is not possible to discuss your complaint while in New Zealand, we must receive it in writing no later than 14 days after the termination of our services.

OUR LIABILITY

Greenz Travel is a registered New Zealand limited company (#7373836).

Greenz Travel cannot be held liable for any loss, damage or injuries resulting from any act of God, weather disruptions, fire, breakdown, acts of Government or other authorities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, deaths, theft, medical or customs regulations.

To the extent permitted by law, Greenz Travel’s liability excludes death, personal injury or illness arising out of an activity forming part of your travel arrangements. Greenz Travel acts as an agent for all accommodations, airlines, excursion and transport operators and is not liable in relation to these principals’ services.

Greenz Travel holds current public liability and professional indemnity insurance with AIG Insurance through the intermediary of Cabinet Jardine Lloyd Thompson Ltd.

JURISDICTION

These booking conditions are under the laws of New Zealand.
Disputes or any action taken against shall be brought only in a court in New Zealand.
